27 to 72
is the index path of the Corbin case company from day 30 to month 36. The scorecard shows the pathway that produced it.
What is inside
Every chapter ends with a Monday morning box. The full scoring sheet is in Appendix A.
The instrument
Thirty questions
Five questions on each of six axes, each scored 0 to 4 against written anchors and a named piece of evidence.
The six axes
What a buyer prices
Data asset, controls, people, adoption, stickiness and exposure. Stickiness carries the largest weight, at 22%, because it is the axis the multiple prices.
The index
Bands and a gate
An index from 0 to 100, four bands, and a gate: Controls or Exposure below 40 caps the band, whatever the total.
Sensitivity
What moves the multiple
A tornado of the axes that matter most, and a sector lens for re-weighting the scorecard to your industry.
The plan
The gap plan
A plan per axis to close the gap, with the Corbin pathway worked over thirty-six months as the example.
Both sides
Two sides of the table
How a seller uses the scorecard to prepare, and how a buyer uses it to price and to diligence the claims.
The argument
Score it at month one. Price it at exit.
Buyers do not pay premiums for ungoverned agents or unnamed substitutes. A company that measures its AI readiness from the start can show a buyer an index and the evidence behind it. This scorecard gives both sides of the table the same sheet to read.
