COPPE Level 3: Intervention
The Intervention Credential · VCI Institute
You are appointed as operating partner to a portfolio company already off thesis. One situation, one corpus, and no right answer. You diagnose the gap, establish what the capital structure will permit, decide, and defend that decision in front of a board.
The six assessed modules
| 1. The Diagnosis | What actually went wrong, separated from what everybody says went wrong |
| 2. The Money | The sweep, the covenant step and the guarantee that springs |
| 3. The People | Who is load bearing, and the order the structure forces on you |
| 4. The Concentration | A risk the file demonstrates against one the room has agreed on |
| 5. The Decision | Hold, exit or reset, screened for affordability before argued |
| 6. The Board | Saying it to people who are not pleased to hear it, and holding it |
Three practice assessments sit between them, marked against the same standard as the certification examination.
Also included
- Twelve animated videocasts, one per module plus the field instruments and both gates
- The Oposera case corpus, approximately seventy documents that disagree with one another in ways that matter
- The Intervention Toolkit, The Sentence Book and the Field Card, yours to keep after the course closes
- The Applied Library, three optional modules, each ending in a free masterclass grant
- PE Simulator access for 90 days, and a capstone workspace for 14 days
Two gates, and you need both
The capstone establishes that you would do something sensible if dropped into a live file. It marks your process, not your verdict. Hold, exit and reset can all pass. What fails is a recommendation the file does not support.
The examination establishes that the instruments are yours rather than borrowed. 50 questions, 90 minutes, pass mark 80 per cent, which is 40 of 50.
Three clocks, and they run separately
- Course material: 365 days, from enrolment.
- PE Simulator: 90 days, from the day your Simulator account is opened.
- Capstone workspace: 14 days, from the day your workspace is opened.
The Simulator and the capstone workspace both start when you activate them, not when you enrol. Activate each one when you are ready to use it. Activating early does not extend the term.
| Prerequisites | COPPE Levels 1 and 2 |
| Format | Asynchronous. No cohort, no fixed start date. |
| Certificate | Does not expire. No renewal fee. |
| Payment | One payment. No subscription, nothing to cancel. |
Seven day refund
Full refund within seven days while the course is unused. Opening a PE Simulator account, opening a capstone workspace, or starting any assessment ends the refund window.
